Iran and Algeria plan joint cultural week

TEHRAN -- The Iranian and Algerian culture ministers, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the 5th Conference of Islamic States’ Culture Ministers in Tripoli, have made plans to hold a joint Iranian/Algerian cultural week in early March.

The event, which will be held in Algeria, aims to extend cultural ties between the two countries, Algeria’s Minister of Culture Khalida Toumi and Iranian counterpart Mohammad-Hossein Saffar Harandi announced during the meeting.
“The People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Algerian nation have always been on friendly terms with the people of Iran and value their culture and traditions,” Toumi mentioned during the session.
The culture ministers of 57 member states of the Islamic Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) took part in the conference, which was held from November 21 to 23 in Libya
