Iranian films win awards at Kabul festival

TEHRAN -- Two Iranian films received awards at the 3rd Kabul International Documentary and Short Film Festival that was held from July 5 to 10 in Afghanistan.

Darisuh Gharibpur’s short film “Boomerang” won the best prize in the Best Foreign Documentary Films Section and “The Lights” directed by Mohsen Ramezanzadeh was awarded with the best prize in the Best Foreign Short Films Section.

Cosponsored by the Goethe-Institute and the French Cultural Center of Kabul, the festival hosted films from France, Germany, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Iran.

This edition of the festival’s motto was “creation is not enough”
