Iran donates books to Russian academic centers

TEHRAN -- A number of Russian academic centers have recently received collections of books from Iran.

The donations are aimed at promoting Iranian studies and Islamic culture among Russian scholars, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization announced on Sunday.

Each collection is comprised of Persian and Arabic versions of the Great Islamic Encyclopedia as well as books of Persian poetry, novels and stories.

The National Library of Russia, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University, the Russian State University for the Humanities, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and the Saint Petersburg State University are among the centers that have received books.
