Entire Persian Gulf region on Iran’s radar screen: general

TEHRAN - A senior Iranian military commander has said that all Persian Gulf countries are within the reach of Iran’s radars and the Iranian armed forces are prepared to guarantee the security of the Persian Gulf.

Brigadier General Habibollah Alizadeh stated that Iran’s anti-aircraft artillery forces are “in full preparedness to exert operational control over the Strait of Hormuz.”
“Our policy is based on strengthening the armed forces’ deterrence capability,” Alizadeh, who is the commander of the anti-aircraft artillery forces in southeast Iran, told the Fars News Agency in an interview published on Monday.
He said that “not a single bird” can fly in Iran’s airspace without the permission of the Iranian armed forces.
“In addition to the southern borders and waters, all Persian Gulf countries are covered by the Khatam Al-Anbiya Anti-Aircraft Artillery,” he added.
He also announced that all the country’s anti-aircraft equipment is manufactured in Iran and the armed forces is self-sufficient in this area.
