TEHRAN- The volume of Iran’s crude oil exports to turkey rose 7.6 percent in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the same period of time in 2014, according to the EU statistics agency Eurostat. 

Iran’s exports of crude oil to turkey increased to 1.427 million tons during January-March 2015 from 1.323 million tons in the three-month period last year, the Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday.

Turkey imported 5.194 million tons of crude oil from Iran in 2014, showing one percent drop from 5.255 million tons in 2013.

The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Co., TUPRAS, which is Turkey’s only oil refiner, supplies about 30 percent of its required crude oil from Iran.

Turkey was the 6th biggest importer of Iranian non-oil goods in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, according to the Iran Customs Administration.

Iran exported $2.158 billion of non-oil goods to Turkey and imported $3.822 billion of non-oil goods from the country.
