TEHRAN- A team of French spare parts manufacturers is due to visit Iran today, the Tasnim News Agency quoted from Mohammad-Reza Najafimanesh, a member of Iran Auto Spare Parts Suppliers Union.

The trip is a follow-up to a recent visit to Iran of a group of French spare parts and automotive manufacturers who were accompanied by an economic panel.

According to the official, the negotiations are expected to bring about increasing cooperation levels between French and Iranian automotive companies.

“In our negotiations with various foreign companies, our emphasis will be on the use of domestic potentials so as to increase domestic production,” Najafimanesh was quoted as saying.

Already in September, a 150-strong delegation of French businessmen paid a two-day visit to Tehran to seek cooperation avenues in Iran, coming hard on the heels of the nuclear accord signed between Iran and western powers on Iran’s nuclear program.
