Iran football team failed to bring an end to its 14-year winless streak against Oman as the teams drew 1-1 at the AFC World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

The match held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex and two teams shared the points.
Eid Al-Farsi was on target for Oman in the 52nd minute.
Jalal Hosseini scored in the 70th minute to equalize the match.
Iran still sits top of Group D with eight points courtesy of a superior goal difference.
The top team from each of the eight groups and the best four second-place teams advance to the next round of qualifying.
