TEHRAN – On Thursday Iran strongly condemned Saudi Arabia’s attack on a wedding ceremony in Dhamar province in Yemen, which in addition to 22 people, killed three brothers waiting to get married.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham asked the UN to take immediate action in stopping Saudi attacks on the country.

Attacks on residential areas in Yemen and killing the county’s people have brought nothing for Saudis, Afkham said.

She also called on the UN to make more efforts to immediately stop Saudi Arabia’s offensives against Yemen and take necessary actions in providing security for the Yemeni people.

Reuters reported that three brothers waiting to get married were killed in a rocket attack alongside at least 22 other people in southwest Yemen on Thursday.
