Saida Zainab, in the Syrian capital of Damascus, is among the areas that have been targeted by terrorist operations and sustained heavy damage.

A number of Syrian citizens residing in the area told Fars news agency that the armed terrorist groups have killed their loved ones and set their home ablaze.

Extremist terrorist groups looted our homes; they spared nothing, the terrorists proved that they are the enemies of Islam, a Syrian national in Saida Zainab said.

A Syrian woman said terrorist groups have killed his two-year-old son and displaced her family.

Armed men killed my son who was only two years old, and threw his body out on the street, she said, adding that they then looted my home and took away everything.

Another Syrian man from the country's largest city of Aleppo said armed terrorists torched his home along with 40 other houses and forced him to quit.

They are undoubtedly the agents of Wahhabis and Zionists, he added.

Syria has been the scene of deadly unrest since mid-March, 2011, and many people, including large numbers of army and security personnel, have been killed in the violence.

Damascus blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists and says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside. It accuses certain Western and regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, of arming and funding the insurgents.
