| Iran’s exports to Arabian states up 5% |

![]() Iran’s exports to Arabian countries rose 5 percent in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2011) in comparison to the same period of the year before, announced the managing director of the Arabian-African Commercial Office for Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
IRNA quoted Seyyed Hossein Hosseini as saying that in the mentioned period Iran exported 1.42 billion dollars worth of goods to the Arabian countries.
He went on to say that Iran’s exports to the members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) rose around 33 percent in the first two months of the year, compared to the year before, and reached 785 million dollars.
“Exports to the PGCC member states made up 17 percent of the Islamic Republic’s total exports in the mentioned period, while the share of other Arabian countries including Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Yemen was about 13 percent,” Hosseini further said.
“Iran’s non-oil exports value to Jordan, UAE and Tunisia has grown respectively 75 percent, 41 percent and 74 percent in the first two months of the year,” he added.
