| Bahrainis demand release of prisoners |

.jpg) Bahraini anti-regime protesters have once again held demonstrations across the country to demand the release of all political prisoners and an end to social and religious discrimination.
The demonstrators took to the streets in several towns and villages on Sunday.
Similar demonstrations were also held in Bahrain on June 29. The Saudi-backed regime forces attacked the protesters using tear gas and rubber bullets.
Anti-government protests continue in the country despite the regime’s violent crackdown.
On June 22, Sheikh Ali Salman, the leader of the main Bahraini opposition group, al-Wefaq, sustained injuries from rubber bullets fired by regime forces during a demonstration in the village of Bilad al-Qadeem, about four kilometers (2.5 miles) west of the capital, Manama.
Bahraini protesters also demand a democratically-elected government that would represent the will of the nation.
The demonstrators hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for the killing of the protesters during the uprising that began in February 2011.
The Saudi-backed regime is also accused of abusing prisoners. Western governments are blamed for retaining silence on the crackdown, while international rights organizations have severely criticized Manama over its rights violations.
The Bahraini public hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for deaths of protesters during the revolution.
