TEHRAN -- The Greek translation of “The Treatise on Law” of Imam Sajjad (AS) has recently been published in Greece.

According to Iran’s Cultural Office in Athens, the book has been distributed to public libraries, universities, and churches.

Dastan to tour North America in September

TEHRAN -- The band Dastan will be doing a tour of the United States and Canada in early September.

The group is to perform pieces from their “Gol-e Behesht” CD.

Dastan features Hossein Behruzinia on barbat, Pejman Haddadi on tonbak, Behnam Samani on daf, Saeid Farajpuri on kamancheh, and Hamid Motabassem on tar and setar.

Solo performances of Iranian virtuosos postponed

TEHRAN -- The program of solo performances of Iranian virtuosos which was due to begin on August 11 at Niavaran Palace has been postponed to late summer.

Musicians Masud Shoari, Majid Derakhshani, Ali-Akbar Shekarchi, Ardeshir Kamkar, and Pashang Kamkar were each scheduled to perform for two nights.

Iranian band to perform on China’s National Day

TEHRAN -- The band Khorshid is to give a concert for China’s National Day on October 1 at the Chinese Embassy in Tehran.

The band had previously given a concert in Shanghai which the Chinese ambassador to Iran saw and greatly appreciated. He then invited the group to perform at the Chinese Embassy in Tehran.

Khorshid will be performing Chinese pieces on Iranian instruments.

Sol to perform with Barcelona Symphony Orchestra

TEHRAN -- The Iranian band Sol conducted by Bahman Mahabadi is to perform with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra in September.

Bahman Mahabadi, Puria Keshavarz, Human Akhtari, and Nahid Abtahi are the members of Sol.
