TEHRAN -- The Iranian musical ensemble Sol conducted by Bahman Mahabadi and the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra are to perform concerts together on June 21, 23, and 24 in Paris, the Persian service of CHN reported on Monday.

“Sol has been invited by the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra to perform concerts together with them in France. We have been practicing with the orchestra for several weeks,” Mahabadi told CHN.

He pointed out that the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, which is comprised of 100 musicians, is one of the best European orchestras.

“The orchestra is conducted by one of the greatest conductors Takuo Yuasa,” he added.

He went on to say that some pieces will be selected by the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra and others will be selected by Sol ensemble.

“However, Sol is prepared to perform all the selected pieces,” he stated.

The performances are scheduled to be aired live on several television channels.

Although Sol has performed in Iran and released nine domestic albums, including “Miniature”, “Laudation”, and “The Divine”, the group has been more active in the international arena, having performed in Romania, Germany, Austria, France, and many other countries.
