Iranian graphic designs to compete in Warsaw poster biennial

TEHRAN -- Works by eighteen Iranian graphic designers are to compete in the 20th International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, Poland, ISNA reported on Sunday.

A total of 501 works by professional artists and 146 works by amateurs have been selected for the two competition sections of the biennial.

Works by Majid Abbasi, Reza Abedini, Maryam Enayati, Farhad Fozuni, Amir-Ali Qasemi, Pedram Harbi, Mehrdad Javanbakht, Saed Moshki, Peiman Purhosseini, Iman Rad, and Mehdi Saeidi are the Iranian entries to the professional section.

Works by Narges Abbaszadeh, Zahra Ali-Akbarzadeh, Mehdi Fatehi, Maryam Hassanpur, Mehdi Mahdian, Mahdieh Mortazavi, and Maryam Parvaneh will be competing in the amateur section.

The exhibition will open on June 3 at Warsaw’s Poster Museum.

The event is being organized by the Poster Museum at the Wilanow Department of the National Museum in Warsaw and the Polish Poster Foundation.

The late Morteza Momayyez was one of the first Iranian graphic designers whose works competed in the biennial.
