Times Publishes Supplement on Iranian Art, Culture

TEHRAN -- The London-based Times newspaper on Friday published a 16-page color supplement titled "A Persian Summer" on the Iranian artistic and cultural programs in England this summer. The supplement included a piscatorial report on a painting exhibition being held at London University's School of Eastern and African Studies. The paintings date back to the Qajarid period. Another report in the supplement dealt with the Iranian cinema and informed the readers of the Iranian films that are to be screened in England this summer.
Meanwhile, simultaneous with the screening of the Iranian films in England, a conference on exploring the Iranian cinema will be held at London University's School of Eastern and African Studies on July 11. There were other reports and articles in the supplement on the Iranians residing in England, tourism in Iran, Iranian carpet-weaving and cooking.
