TOKYO Official sources said here Friday that Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi would shortly visit Tokyo, the first foreign minister of Iran to do so in 11 years. Among topics likely to be discussed by the Iranian foreign minister and Japanese officials is the second portion of Japan's loan to Iran for financing Karoun Dam in Khuzestan Province of Iran which has been held in abeyance for some time now.

Masahico Komura, Japan's Foreign Ministry official visited Tehran last spring with a message from Japan's prime minister to Iran's President Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Khatami which he hand delivered to him in the Iranian capital. (IRNA)
