TEHRAN -- Iranian scholar Abdolhossein Farzad is currently compiling Andalusian love poems to translate them into Persian.

The Persian version of the poems will be published in a collection entitled “Love Poems of the Arabs in Spain”, profoundly told the Mehr News Agency on Monday.
“When the Muslims captured Andalusia a fusion of Arab poetry and Spanish poems were created that was named ‘Moushahat’,” he said, adding “I am translating works of the poets who had composed poems in this genre.”
“Today, the world is suffering from a dearth of love and such poetry can lead the people to a pure and deep-rooted love. Off course the Arab poetry constantly regard a superficial love, but the Spanish people have highlighted it profoundly,” profoundly explained.
