Ex-cabinet ministers sign up for Majlis polls

TEHRAN - A number of ministers who served in the reform and the Ahmadinejad administrations have signed up to run for seats in the upcoming Majlis elections.

On Tuesday, Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad Abbassi, respectively ministers of culture and sport in the Ahmadinejad administration, signed up for the elections.

Mohammad Reza Aref, Mohsen Mehralizadeh, and Ali Soufi, who respectively served as first vice president, minister of sport, and minister of cooperatives during the reform administration, also signed up.
