Artists decorate Tehran for Noruz
Tehran Times Art Desk TEHRAN – About 500 artists, sculptors, and graphic designers have decorated the capital, Tehran, with their artworks to welcome spring under a project named “Baharestan”.
Organized by the Tehran Municipality’s Beautification Organization, huge art works, murals, sculptures and graphic designs are on display in every corner of the city to help reflect beauty across the city.
The project aims to bring back joy and dynamism to the city, creating a pleasant living environment during the Noruz holiday, director of the organization Issa Alizadeh said in a press release published on Wednesday.
About 100 artists created their artworks on walls in the 22 districts across the city, he said.
He added that 44 graphic designers have displayed their artistic designs on large billboards.
In addition, sculptors and land artists have showcased their artworks at different spots, while the colored- eggs have also been placed in several parks across the capital, he said.
Moreover, Alizadeh added that the citizens can take selfies with the artworks on display at the Baharestan project and email the photos to the website of the organization at www.zibasazi.ir before April 13.
The top three photos will receive awards, he added.
