TEHRAN – The number of people who visited Iranian tourist attractions during Noruz holidays (March 20-April 1) rose 47 percent in comparison to the same period last year, Iran’s tourism chief Morteza Rahmani-Movahhed announced on Wednesday.

Over 67.5 million people visited tourist spots during two-week Noruz holidays, he announced.

People paid visit to cultural, historical, and natural attractions of the country which shows the great capacity of Iran in the field of tourism, he concluded.
