IRGC and Velayateh Faqih under heaviest media attacks from enemies: general

TEHRAN - The deputy chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces has said a major strategy of the enemies is to put the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Velayateh Faqih (the rule of supreme jurisprudence) under media barrage.
“Enemies attempt to attack the pivots of the country and that’s why we see the two come under heaviest attacks,” Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said in interview with Mehr news agency published on Sunday.
Referring to Iran’s missile capability, Jazayeri stated the program is not open to negotiations and Iran will not allow Americans and any other country to meddle in defense-related issues.
“Certainly, our defense might is not limited to missiles and fortunately, we have a variety of equipment and capabilities.”
Also, the high-ranking military figure hinted at the Syrian crisis, saying Iran will not allow arrogant powers to remain in the region through its helps to the resistance movement. “We will try to manage our presence in Syria as the need arises.”
Another key theme in Jazayeri’s remarks was what Iranians expect their government to do against Americans’ expropriation of Iran’s funds in U.S. banks.
“The reactions should not be only limited mere condemnation. Our people are impatiently waiting for a response.”
