TEHRAN – Iran’s Navy will continue holding military drills in the Persian Gulf despite an objection by the U.S., the Navy commander said on Tuesday.

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said that the U.S. is against Iran’s powerful presence in the Persian Gulf, Fars reported.

He further said that Iran’s military drills have nothing to do with other countries.

Sayyari added that the Navy plans to hold at least 20 special military exercises by March 2017.
