Mohammad Keshavarz named the AFC Futsal Player of the Year on Wednesday. 

Keshavarz, a four-time AFC Futsal Championship winner with Iran, was declared the best player of the second edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship and was in superb form as his former team narrowly missed out on glory in Doha after being edged 3-1 by Nagoya Oceans in the final.

"I attribute tonight's award to my father who has been instrumental in helping in my career. I also dedicate this award to the people of Iran and to my fellow team mates and every futsal player in Iran with the hope this success is repeated by Iranians and shared together." said Keshavarz after receiving the award from AFC Executive Committee member Richard Lai, who is also Chairman of the AFC Futsal Committee.
