TEHRAN – Iranian short films “A House in Fog” and “Kayeh” shorts are competing in DO PÃO, a film festival that is currently underway in Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal.

“A House in Fog” by Mokhtar Namdar recounts the story of Sorayya, a lonely woman who works in a 100-year-old mansion.

Directed by Keivan Mohseni, “Kayeh” shows the process of making a Kayeh, a kind of scarf which is traditionally worn around infants’ heads in the southern Iranian town of Gerash, by an elderly woman who lives in peace with her husband.

“Kayeh” was an entry in the Short Film Corner at the 69th Cannes Film Festival in May.

Films from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Syria, Bulgaria and Pakistan are competing in DO PÃO, which comes to end today.
