FIBA Asia U18 Championship: Iran beaten by Japan

TEHRAN - Host Iran was defeated against Japan on Day 3 of the 2016 FIBA Asia U18 Championship on Sunday.

The Iranian team, who had already defeated Indonesia (106-40) and Kazakhstan (90-59), lost to japan 81-77 in Group B.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport and head of National Team Support Committee Nasrollah Sajjadi attended the match in Tehran’s Azadi Hall.

Iran will meet Japan on Tuesday.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the Quarter-Final.

The top three teams from the 24th FIBA Asia U18 Championship will represent Asia at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Championship.
