Rower Adel Mojallali will be Iran’s 64th athlete that will participate in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games after the Kazakhstan rower tested positive for the forbidden substance.

Alexander Kornilov has been disqualified from the Rio de Janeiro Olympics for a doping violation.

“That's the best news I've heard. I always liked to participate at the Olympics. Now, I am the first Iranian athlete who take part in the canoeing event in Olympics,” Mojallali told Tasnim news agency.

“I will do my best in Olympics however I have enough time until the competition,” he added.
