European companies eager to cooperate with Iran’s NPC

TEHRAN – The representatives of Germany’s Thyssen Krupp Engineering AG and Denmark-based technology, catalyst and services supplier Haldor Topsoe voiced their companies’ interest in Iran’s petrochemical industry, Shana reported on Thursday.

On the sidelines of K-Plastics & Rubber Exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany Iranian Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaie held separate meetings with representatives of the two companies.

According to Shahdaie, Topsoe’s senior managers expressed interest in collaborating on urea and ammonia projects and also methanol related projects with the NPC. And Thyssen is also interested in PVC related projects.

As the biggest event in rubber and plastic industry, K-Plastics & Rubber Exhibition kicked off on October 19 in Düsseldorf.

In this exhibition world leaders in petrochemical industry showcase their products and services, Iran’s NPC as well is holding pavilion in this year’s event.

Iran’s Shahdaie and also Adel Nejad-Salim, the managing director of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs, the managing director of Iranian Petrochemical Commercial Company (IPCC), as well as Ali Majedi, Iran's ambassador to Germany, held speeches on the second day of the event and explained various investment opportunities, capabilities and achievements of Iran's petrochemical industry.

Senior directors of several big European Companies also dedicated their speech to Iran’s petrochemical industry.
