Iran, Netherlands sign MOU on energy project

TEHRAN- The Netherlands’ Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, Melanie Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus held talks with Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian in Tehran on Sunday.

On the sidelines of the event, Renewable Energy Organization of Iran (known as SUNA) signed a cooperation agreement with a Dutch company on construction of a solar power plant in the country.

In this event Iranian minister noted that environmental issues, water management and generation of electricity for industrial and agricultural uses could be potent areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Van Haegen for her part said, “With the signing of such memoranda of understandings, two countries’ cooperation in the fields of water and electricity will be strengthened.”
