Hong Kongese business delegation to visit Iran soon

TEHRAN- An 80-member Hong Kongese business delegation, headed by the country’s secretary for commerce and economic development, is to make a trip to the Iranian capital on November 8, following the invitation made by the Iranian Finance Minister Ali Tayyebnia, Tasnim news agency reported on Friday.

As the Deputy Head of Iran-Hong Kong Joint Chamber of Commerce Majid-Reza Hariri informed that the visiting delegation includes officials from Hong Kong’s banks, stock market, insurance companies, airlines, tourism companies, as well as representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

During their two-day stay in Tehran the delegates will visit Iranian government’s officials and private sector businessmen to sign MOUs with Iran’s state-run as well as private sectors.

Hariri underlined that on the way to boost bilateral ties between the two sides, banking relations should be improved primarily via removing the current obstacles. 

The Iranian private sector official also noted that Hong Kong’s airline companies are fond of launching direct flights between Iran and Hong Kong to facilitate common ties.

He admitted that, by receiving such trade delegations, Iran looks for attraction of foreign investments and is fond of exporting its products to the world’s markets.
