TEHRAN – Iran and Iraq have staged naval maneuvers at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, according to a statement by the Iraqi Defense Ministry.

The drills were staged on Monday in Arvand River where it flows into the Persian Gulf, IRNA reported on Wednesday.

The joint war game by Iranian and Iraqi naval forces is the second in less than a week. The two countries held their first naval drills in the same location last Thursday.
