Iran fit to confront cyber wars: general

TEHRAN – The chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces has said the country has mastered the necessary skills for warfare in the cyberspace.

“Cyber battles can cause extensive damages, and thus, have a paramount place in the contemporary world, and we have the necessary expertise in this field,” Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said on Thursday, Tasnim reported.

Baqeri also hailed “full security and calm” in Iran, saying some countries in the region are gripped by wars and insecurity.
