Hossein Nejat named deputy chief of IRGC intelligence office

TEHRAN – Brigadier General Hossein Nejat was on Tuesday appointed to the position of deputy chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ Intelligence Organization.

Nejat was named to the job by IRGC Commander General Mohammad Ali Jafari, Fars news agency reported.

The organization is headed by Hojjatoleslam Hossein Taeb.

Nejat was formerly Jafari’s deputy for cultural and social affairs, but was recently superseded by Mohammad Reza Naqdi, who used to act as the Basij chief.
