Iranian cineastes on Dhaka festival jury
TEHRAN – Actors Levon Haftvan and Mahtab Keramati and film expert Amir Esfandiari, all from Iran, have been selected for the jury of the 15th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF), which will open in the Bangladeshi capital tomorrow.
Sharofat Arabova from Tajikistan, Anne Christine Girardot from France, Lia Beltrami from Italy, Bernadette Schramm from England and Chang Seok Yong from South Korea are also on the panel.
A lineup of over 20 Iranian movies will go on screen in the various sections of the festival, which will run until Jan. 20.
The festival also plans to pay tribute to world-renowned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami by screening some of his films.
