Serbian volleyball coach Igor Kolakovic says that Iran Volleyball Federation has asked him to send them a short plan for a four years period.

Kolakovic emerged as a candidate to replace Argentine coach Raul Lozano as well as Bulgarian coach Radostin Stoychev.

He was the coach of the Serbia men's national volleyball team and led the team at the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

“The federation of Iran contacted me on December 30th with an official e-mail to start negotiation,” Kolakovic told Tehran Times.

“They asked me to make and send them a short plan for a four years period which I did. A few days ago they informed me that I should come to Tehran for a meeting in the federation. That is all for now,” he added.
