Iran condemns terrorist blast in Pakistan’s Parachinar

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned on Saturday a terrorist blast in Parachinar, a city in northwestern Pakistan.

“Terrorism is the most serious security problem in the region and the world which has targeted peace and security of the countries and people, therefore collective and comprehensive efforts are needed by the international community to fight it,” Qassemi explained. 

The blast occurred at Eidgah market on Saturday morning and left at least 20 people killed and many others injured.

According to Daily Pakistan, the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast.

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have expressed condolences over death of the victims.
