TEHRAN – Two Iranian films will be competing in the White Nights Film Festival, which will be held in St. Petersburg from April 17 to 19.

“Overruled” by Farnaz and Mohammadreza Jurabchian will be screened in the documentary films competition and “Jamshid Aria” by Arsha Aqdasi will be shown in the short films category.

“Overruled” is about the lives of some young Afghan refugees in Iran. They work as ball boys in tennis clubs in Tehran, so they have learned how to play tennis. But the problem is they are not accepted in this society anyway and will always remain outsiders.

The short film has been made by stuntman Aqdasi in one day to honor former Iranian action star Jamshid Hashempur.
