TEHRAN – Iranian director Marjan Ashrafizadeh’s “The Sis” will go on screen in the official section of the 7th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), which will open in the Chinese capital on Sunday.

The film is about Tala and Ati (Sis), a mother and daughter who have lived together for many years. Their situation, however, does not last forever, and the days of separation finally arrive.

In addition, “The Salesman”, Asghar Farhadi’s Oscar-winning drama, and “A Dragon Arrives” by Mani Haqiqi will be screened in the non-competitive section of the festival, which will run until April 23.
