Copper concentrate production up 10% yr/yr

TEHRAN- Iran’s copper concentrate output reached 1.072 million tons in the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20, 2017), which shows 10 percent increase compared to the same period in the preceding year, IRIB news reported.

According to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the figure stood at 979,650 tons in the same time span in the preceding year.
Copper concentrate is the result of a flotation process after the copper ore has been mined and milled. Copper concentrate is an intermediate product used as raw material in the production of copper metal.
