CBI delegation to embark for IMF/World Bank spring meetings

TEHRAN- The Central Bank of Iran (CBI)’s delegation will travel to the U.S. to participate in the annual spring meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), IRIB news reported on Monday.

The meetings are to be held in Washington from 21 to 23 April, 2017.

Each spring, thousands of government officials, journalists, civil society organizations, and participants from the academia and private sectors, gather in Washington D.C. for the Spring Meetings of the WB and the IMF. 

Seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial markets are also featured.

The plenary session of the IMF and World Bank Group's boards of governors is scheduled only during the annual meetings in autumn.
