UAE pardons 21 Iranian prisoners

TEHRAN – Twenty-one Iranian prisoners jailed in the United Arab Emirates have been granted clemency on the occasion of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Iran’s consulate in Dubai said on Tuesday.

According to the Iranian consulate, the Iranian nationals were serving prison terms in the cities of Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah, Tasnim news agency reported.

The 21 inmates have been pardoned and are going to return home, it added.
