TEHRAN – A hooligan was shot dead by police after stabbing four people with machete in the Shahr-e Rey subway station in southern Tehran on Saturday.

The man stabbed a cleric and 3 other people. He did so in a fight after the cleric had given him some moral advices, ILNA reported.

The attacker died as he was being carried to hospital. 13 people suffered minor injuries in a rush that followed.
