Netflix to distribute “Wishbone”

TEHRAN -- Netflix, an American entertainment company based in California, has received the franchise for distribution of Iranian filmmaker Ali Atshani’s drama “Wishbone” across the world.

The news was announced in a press release published by the Public Relations Office of the film on Tuesday.

The film, which is based on a true story, is about a married football coach who meets his ex-girlfriend after a lengthy period of time has elapsed. The girl, who was one of his fans, once again enters his life.

“Wishbone” won the best feature film and best director of the year awards at the WIND International Film Festival in Hollywood in March.

Starring Hossein Yari and Mitra Hajjar, the film will be shown in Iranian movie theaters soon.
