TEHRAN – Vitaly Naumkin, the head of the Centre for Arab Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Oriental Studies, has said the consequences of a potential move by the U.S. to renege on its commitments to the JCPOA will be ‘dire’.

“I think it is detrimental to the interests of the United States itself because we know that the JCPOA is an important achievement of the international community,” Naumkin, also an adviser to UN envoy Staffan de Mistura, told Tasnim in an interview published on Sunday.
