Culture minister announces appointment of new assistant

TEHRAN – Seyyed Abbas Salehi, who won a vote of confidence as the new culture minister at the Iranian parliament on Sunday, appointed Mohammad Solgi as his acting assistant in cultural affairs today.

Salehi held the position before he was selected as culture minister in President Hassan Rouhani’s new administration.

Solgi was formerly the director of the Office for Development of Publications and Reading at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
