Tehran hosting national crafts expo

The 28th National Crafts Exhibition was inaugurated at the Tehran Permanent International Fairground on Thursday. The weeklong event will touch upon woodwork, illuminated manuscript, miniature, textile printing, enamel, leatherwork, handwoven products, calligraphy, traditional musical instruments, metalwork, and marquetry, amongst a lavish patchwork of other works. Over the past couple of years, dozens of high-quality Iranian handicrafts have been honored with the UNESCO Seal of Excellence. Tehran Times/ Asghar khamseh
