TMCA to host Chinese film festival

TEHRAN – The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) will be organizing a festival of Chinese films during a six-day program that is scheduled to open at 5 p.m. tomorrow.

A lineup of six movies will be screened at the event titled “Chinese Film Week, the TMCA announced on Sunday.

“The Grandmaster” by Wong Kar-wai, “The Taking of Tiger Mountain” by Tsui Hark and “The Piano in a Factory” by Meng Zhang are among the films.

“Wolf Totem” by Jean-Jacques Annaud, “Confucius” by Hu Mei and “Under the Hawthorn Tree” by Zhang Yimou will also go on screen.

The program has been organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tehran.

Chinese Ambassador Pang Sen and a number of Iranian cultural officials and artists are planning to attend the opening ceremony.
