Iranian, Pakistani military chiefs call for end to Rohingya plight

TEHRAN – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri on Sunday spoke with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss the ongoing violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, Tasnim news agency reported.

In a phone conversation, the two sides called on the Muslim world to help end the plight of the Muslim minority.

Baqeri and Bajwa also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces to help the Rohingya.
