Film Museum of Iran to host European film festival

TEHRAN – The Film Museum of Iran will be hosting a festival of European films during a five-day program, which is scheduled to open on Tuesday.

A lineup of short and feature films from Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria and Hungary will be screened at the event. 

The program has been organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Austria, the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS).

The news was reported on Sunday when documentarian Alireza Qasemkhan was appointed as the new director of the Film Museum of Iran.

Qasemkhan replaced Mohammad Heidari who had held the position since 2014.
