Exground Filmfest to screen movies from Iran

TEHRAN – Eight Iranian films will be screened at the 30th Exground Filmfest in Wiesbaden, Germany.

“Disappearance” by Ali Asgari will compete in the main section of the festival, which will run from November 17 to 26.

The film is set on a cold winter night in Tehran where a couple of young lovers run into a serious problem. They have just a few hours to come up with a solution.

Seven films will also go on screen in a section dedicated to Iranian shorts.

“The Man Who Forgot to Breathe” by Saman Hosseinpur, “Sleepwalker” by Behnam Afiat, “From Hasakah with Love” by Mohammad Farahani and “The Snail” by Mohammad Torivaryan are among the films.

The lineup also includes “999999999” by Karim Azimi, “Acetone” by Behrang Dezfulizadeh and “Kitchen Dreams” by Arvin Medqalchi.
