West missed chance to improve Iran ties: Straw

November 4, 2017

TEHRAN – Former British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw says he blames the West, particularly the U.S., for missing the opportunity to expand relationship with Iran, IRNA reported on Tuesday.

Addressing a conference at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), Straw said President Trump will not be there forever, but the relationship between Iran and the West will be forever.

“There is not a shred of evidence that either in spirit or in letter that Iran” has violated the JCPOA, he said, pointing to the nuclear agreement Iran signed with six world powers.
